Brownie Cookies

Hi Y'all,

I have recently came across one of the best cookie recipes. My hubby loves these and I thought I'd share with ya.

Brownie Cookies

1 1/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnut halves
1 can of Betty Crockers vanilla frosting
1 pastry bag and tip

1.) Preheat oven 350.
2.) In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
3.) Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
4.) Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
5.) Bake 8 to 9 minutes in preheated oven. Cookies will be soft so let them cool slightly on cookie sheet before transferring them onto a wire rack to cool completely.
6.) Once cool, decorate with vanilla frosting across cookies in a zig zag design.
Be sure to keep them in a sealed container to stay soft and fresh because they do dry out if left on the counter.
Enjoy!!!
